SPOOK QUEST SOCAL HAUNTED ROAD TRIP 2018 – A 3-day haunted road trip through sunny San Diego and Ventura county.

As we drive through another part of Southern California, we will be staying in a haunted inn and visiting paranormal hotspots. We will be partaking in some of the fun and spooky activities that the San Diego has to offer during the month of October.

Since this is a shorter trip than most, all of our frightful and freaky food activities will be summarized here as our itinerary gets developed.

And, travel with us as we explore the San Diego  area by reading our current quest journal. Check out the haunted road trip tools to build your own Spook Quest!

Leg 1

Hotel Z – A Stay Pineapple Hotel- San Diego- Totally not haunted, but  pineapple cupcakes and beach cruisers was the draw for this gaslamp favorite hotel. We will be staying at Hotel Z to explore the gaslamp quarters, and check out the haunted Horton Grand Hotel. It seems that the Horton Grand Hotel was built in the late 1800s and is the site of two historic hotels that is said to be inhabited by a ghost in room 309. Guests have awoken to the sounds of shuffling cards, shaking beds, and staff have observed the outline of a person on a freshly made bed.

Other notable activities in San Diego will be the Haunted Hotel Haunted House, and a visit to the Whaley House.

Leg 2

The Pierpont Inn – Ventura – has been the subject of paranormal investigations, to understand the source of many disturbances, such as apparitions of the former caretaker and owner, as well as a distinct scent of rose perfume.

On our way to the Zombie Hunter train ride in Fillmore, we will be stopping by to eat at the restaurant of haunted Glen Tavern Inn, recently featured in Ghost Adventures.
